Sometimes it’s hard to decide what to do when your child is sick or needs medical attention. At Kids First we always recommend two things. If it’s an emergency situation call 911 immediately. If the situation is urgent but not an emergency you should consult with your child’s primary care doctor. Should he or she not be available or reachable, you can always count on Kids First Pediatric Urgent Care After Hours to be there for you. We are open weekdays from 5pm to 10pm and weekend / holidays from 1pm to 9pm. Located in the heart of Kendall we are easily accessible too. Remember, there is a difference between an general urgent care and a pediatric urgent care. We have pediatricians on site and specialize in kids. We are also a walk in clinic so you never need to call in advanced or make an appointment. Just come in and you will immediately notice the difference between Kids First by Dr. Swartz and the other alternatives. Retail health clinics such as CVS and Walgreens are more suitable for adults since they are usually staffed by a nurse or a medical assistant. When it comes to your child’s health, you should always consult a medical doctor and a pediatrician when available. That’s why we created Kids First. Your child’s medical urgencies don’t confirm to normal office hours and neither do we! Please take a moment and review the chart above provided by our friends at Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance.
